- Run a Search on the Shelters in your neighborhood (above). Check back DAILY!
- Advertise in your local publications.
- Read the Found ads. (Many people won't turn dogs in to shelters because they fear euthanasia. At most dogs are given three days to find you.)
- Make Posters and put them up in your neighborhood and everywhere
people congregate.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTION. - Post messages on our message board.
- Speak to your Mail Delivery Person and other delivery people.
- Talk to the Kids in your neighborhood. They will surprise you!
FOUND!
- When you find your pet.. make a generous donation. Rescuers work for free, work long hard hours, and spend all their own money on rescuing lost pets like yours.
- Put an ID tag on him immediately.
- Get him micro-chipped as soon as possible.
Pick-A-Pet and
Give a Dog A Home!
Make a donation in the name of a rescue. Click on the picture for information
about the pet, and Email us your pledge to rescue@muttshack.org.
Then go to
NHF to make the donation.
In CA it costs up to $101 to release a dog and $68 to release a
cat.
Rescuers pay release fees, plus boarding, feed and extra medical
bills themselves.
Your donation goes to The Muttshack Foundation to help
us create more MuttShacks! Instead of just saving one pet, you create a
MuttShack which keeps on rescuing one animal after another.
One of these pets could have been yours! Many are in grief and
suffer great loss.
