Perro was rescued in the
Covington, LA area shortly after Katrina devastated the area.
Perro appears to be full
breed Pit Bull.
He’s a young male (under 2yrs)
with a sweet disposition. As with all big dogs, he can be
intimidating at first, but you’ll quickly warm up to this sweetheart
of a dog. He is eager to learn and yearns for human attention. His
ears and tail have not been clipped. I would not recommend anyone
with small children adopt this (or any) pit bull just because of his
strength, not his manners. He is very well behaved and would be
best placed with a guy. He still has puppy excitement, but calms
down quickly after a few minutes of attention.
This dog truly deserves a good
home, preferably with a big yard. He does like to chew, so I would
not recommend him as an exclusively inside dog. He will NOT be
adopted to fighters or wranglers.
We would also consider getting
him into a foster home as well. Although, they would really have to
check out so Perro didn’t ultimately end up in a bad situation. |
