Ponies Feature in
Krewe of Little Rascalls

For approximately four miles it was all smiles as the kids threw out beads to spectators.

The Krewe of Little Rascals Parade annually rolls along Veterans Boulevard from  Clearview Shopping Center to the end at Martin Behrman.

Led by the Sheriff’s vehicles and the KLR Pace Car, the Parade traveled the traditional Metairie Parade Route.

This is an all-children, Mardi-Gras parade.  A parade that is completely kid friendly.

Cowboys and Cowgirls laughed with glee as they tossed out beads.  Dressed in Wild West outfits they rode on the Hay-wagon, others were led on ponies, and others peered out of a classic red fire-truck.

The Jerusalem Temple and Farhad Grotto Shriners, along with several horse riding clubs, car clubs, and several radio station vans and special vehicles rode along. Many schools from the Metro Area participate along with dancing schools, military bands and floats, Jimmy’s Kids and a taekwondo club.

To children in the Metro Area, there is no greater thrill than being on a Mardi Gras float drawn by ponies, throwing to crowds who are yelling, “Throw me something”!

Pony Tales is the largest sponsor of Pony Paradise, a non-profit organization that provides a retirement "paradise" for ponies.

They are videotaped by Cox Cable and the Parade is aired on Cable Access Channel 10, several times throughout the Mardi Gras Season.
